May 10, 2006 - Baby Lessard is on his/her way! Introduction to us.
Ok, so this is my first post (as mom-to-be of Baby Lessard!) ....

Ashley and I are getting ready for the upcoming arrival of our baby (and we don't know whether we are having a boy or a girl!). I am 29 weeks, 3 days pregnant today :)

I thought I'd share thoughts, photos, etc of our last few months of prep for our new family member.

A little about us (although most who visit this site will already know all of this!):

I'm Megan, a 27 year old HR Manager for Siemens Communications (well really for a small software company in Bothell WA owned by Siemens). I went to UW, and have mostly the same circle of friends that I did when I went to school :) When I'm not working, I love hanging out with those friends of mine, with my husband Ashley, and with family. I have a huge family and most are all here in the Seattle area. Our baby will have LOTS of relatives to spend time with(free babysitting?) hee hee :)

Ash is a 29 year old Program Manager (well really a developer by education, but has become a program manager). He plays hockey when not hanging out with me, and watches hockey when he's not playing hockey or working. If we have a boy, I think he might be introduced to hockey. Ha ha. Oh yeah, and he's Canadian - and his family are in BC and Alberta.

NURSERY - picture above is the work in progress...
We are currently working on getting the nursery ready. Because we are keeping the sex a surprise, we are going Gender Neutral..so our theme is Barnyard or Farm :) We fell in love (ok, I fell in love, Ashley just liked it) with a bedding set at Babies R Us, and that set the theme for us (and we actually both agreed - yay!). So we are painting a barn, apple tree, etc on our wall. This will probably need to be done again when we move and buy a place, hopefully in the next year. But in the meantime, it's starting to look really good! Ashley is pretty darn talented at this (who knew?!), and so I have been either 1) painting in the lines that he draws or 2) offering constructive criticism (HA!!).
