May 10, 2006 - Favorite Things - of a pregnant woman!

My new SNOOGLE: Don't laugh, it is the BEST prego pillow: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000635WI/002-0341288-9016050?v=glance

Body Shop Body Butter: It is the best! Body Butter smells so good and lasts forever. Great on Belly and Legs....Cranberry and Passionfruit are my current favorites (thanks Mom and Colleen!)

French Fries: I can not get enough french fries as a pregnant woman (ok so I've always been a sucker for fries), but NOW...Red Robin will give you fries for free if you order them as a side order about 50% of the time. A cup of soup and fries for $2.99....YUM...

Magic Bullet: Its a blender system, not a You-know-what like Katy Gentes thought ;) This thing rocks. You can make individual smoothies in seconds. Ash and I love this - just toss in frozen fruit, yogurt and juice and it's ready. I also hope to make homemade baby food with it (this is what Pam, my sister in law who sent me this, got it for - Thanks Pam!). Yep, I have dreams of being a homemade baby food making, relaxed, healthy food eating, in shape, shower taking, clean house MOM. Ha :)

Meeko the Mariner: My (I mean OUR, oops) new car, the Mercury Mariner. http://www.mercuryvehicles.com/mariner/
No offense to my trusty Ford Escort, but I love this car. MOST of all, I love heated seats. and I'm really looking forward to having AC this summer :) My best friend Brandy has Edgar, Meeko's older brother (thanks for letting us copy you, Brandy!)

Craigslist: I'm addicted...it's GREAT for buying maternity clothes (or a gently used SNOOGLE!) We've bought our dining room table on it, a rocker, and the baby section has great stuff too. I keep telling Ashley how much money I've saved using it! ;)

May 10, 2006 - Baby Lessard is on his/her way! Introduction to us.
Ok, so this is my first post (as mom-to-be of Baby Lessard!) ....

Ashley and I are getting ready for the upcoming arrival of our baby (and we don't know whether we are having a boy or a girl!). I am 29 weeks, 3 days pregnant today :)

I thought I'd share thoughts, photos, etc of our last few months of prep for our new family member.

A little about us (although most who visit this site will already know all of this!):

I'm Megan, a 27 year old HR Manager for Siemens Communications (well really for a small software company in Bothell WA owned by Siemens). I went to UW, and have mostly the same circle of friends that I did when I went to school :) When I'm not working, I love hanging out with those friends of mine, with my husband Ashley, and with family. I have a huge family and most are all here in the Seattle area. Our baby will have LOTS of relatives to spend time with(free babysitting?) hee hee :)

Ash is a 29 year old Program Manager (well really a developer by education, but has become a program manager). He plays hockey when not hanging out with me, and watches hockey when he's not playing hockey or working. If we have a boy, I think he might be introduced to hockey. Ha ha. Oh yeah, and he's Canadian - and his family are in BC and Alberta.

NURSERY - picture above is the work in progress...
We are currently working on getting the nursery ready. Because we are keeping the sex a surprise, we are going Gender Neutral..so our theme is Barnyard or Farm :) We fell in love (ok, I fell in love, Ashley just liked it) with a bedding set at Babies R Us, and that set the theme for us (and we actually both agreed - yay!). So we are painting a barn, apple tree, etc on our wall. This will probably need to be done again when we move and buy a place, hopefully in the next year. But in the meantime, it's starting to look really good! Ashley is pretty darn talented at this (who knew?!), and so I have been either 1) painting in the lines that he draws or 2) offering constructive criticism (HA!!).
